A source told us that Toolup.com is now selling on eBay as part of the Special Diamond PowerSeller program. As with Shoplet, also rumored to be in the Diamond P/S program, Toolup began listing recently. But unlike Shoplet, Toolup is offering free shipping.
A check of eBay on Tuesday revealed 1,599 Toolup listings for sale. Toolup received its first feedback on October 7th for an item listed on September 30, 2008, and it has received a total of 202 positive feedback ratings since then and maintains high Detailed Seller Ratings.
Our source tells us that ChannelAdvisor is bringing on Diamond PowerSellers and handling 100 percent of the customer service for the first 30 - 60 days, at no charge beyond the flat commission it charges on sales; eBay reportedly gives Diamonds free listings and very reduced FVFs, negotiated one-on one - somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 - 9 percent in the case of Special Diamond PowerSellers.
Buy.com, a confirmed DPS, is in the media category. Shoplet, unconfirmed, is in office supplies, Toolup is in tools. Another on the list of unconfirmed DPS coming soon is in the computers & electronics category, while another is in what I'd call the Department Store category (bedding, jewelry, apparel, home, fragrances, shoes, etc.).
