Bill Cobb discussed the bugs in the new Sell Your Item form during Friday's Town Hall Meeting event. "We have tested this for a long time. There is no question there have been bugs in it, we are very disappointed in that." Cobb said the idea behind the new form was to make listing items easier. On balance, the new form will be a step forward despite the fact it is a change, he said.
The new form was introduced in August (link).
Cobb responded to the question, has there been consideration of pushing back the rollout? "That is something we are looking at, because we realize going into the high-demand season, that we can't have the level of bugs that we have had with 3.0. We are monitoring this, I hope we are able to work this out because I do think it's a step forward, but if it is not right, we will push it back. So stay tuned on that."
eBay created a thread on the discussion boards where it is keeping sellers apprised of fixes to some of the bugs (link).
BTW, the audio on these town hall events is horrible, sometimes I can't hear the speaker at all. Hope eBay will work on that.
