Some things worth mentioning,...The Frenchy Bee got a mention in the New York Times! (Free registration is required to view article.).

Firefox Not Impressed with PayPal Customer Service...Firefox co-founder Blake Ross posted a funny commentary about PayPal customer service, "Your call is important to us! (Your e-mail is not.)"

The TameBay blog said a BestBuy exec is going to be Justus counterpart at eBay HQ (Ying and Yang?). TameBay was the blog that first picked up on German press reports about Philipp Justus coming to U.S. By the way, Philipp is pronounced same as we pronounce Phillip in U.S., and Justus is pronounced like eustace (yoo-stis, more or less).

Did You Know? Philipp Justus was featured in a Harvard Business School case study about how he salvaged the integration of the Alando.de site (acquired by eBay) into the eBay platform in 2000.

It's fair to point out that Tamebay took their reference from another site however. The real news source is here:

I also see they've amended their original Justus blog entry as well. Originally Tamebay were erroneously reporting that Justus was to work over Cobb.

"In his role, he oversees four groups within eBay's marketplaces unit: eBay Canada; eBay Motors; discount merchandise site Half.com; and eBay Stores, the e-commerce service for online merchants, which includes the ProStores virtual storefronts for brick-and-mortar merchants."

Not sure why Canada is lumped in with fixed-price marketplaces...It will be interesting to see if Linton comes up with ideas on strengthening exposure for Store listings.

So, what is Bill Cobb going to be doing? According to eBay’s website: As president of eBay North America, Bill Cobb oversees the marketing, strategic planning, and business development for all of eBay's North American businesses. This includes responsibility for the strategy and marketing behind the eBay.com, eBay Canada, and eBay Motors business units. If Philip Justus is taking over eBay.com and Michael Linton is taking over eBay Canada, Motors, Stores, Express and ProStores what is left for Billy Boy? I can't help think that the other shoe will drop here soon. Is Meg leaving? Has their been a palace coup? Is Bill getting bumped upstairs or out the door? Inquiring minds want to know.

Seems Bill made himself as popular as Saddam this year so, for PRs sake, I guess another senior is needed in North America to  maintain or salvage a few relationships.
