I am interested in covering sourcing at eBay Live, and naturally, I wanted to check out the first ever Sourcing Pavilion -- a place where merchandisers and sourcing vendors could go to connect with potential sellers. I had to look long and hard to find this place, and was surprised to find it tucked way in the back of the usual vendor marketplace. The area didn't seem very crowded, but it was lunchtime.
Zach Hahn of ASD/AMD, the sponsors of the Sourcing Pavilion, said he has seen pretty good attendance, and hadn't been hearing about complaints from sellers (the convention had only been open a few hours, however). "I divide the people who attend these things into three groups," he said. "You have PowerSellers who already have a business, people who are trying to become PowerSellers, and those who are just getting started."
That sounded about right to me, but most of the people I saw in this area were wearing PowerSeller identification badges.
